This thing is amazing! It was fairly easy to put together, we were only missing one piece but luckily we had the same piece in Lego brand to use. My only suggestion would be to number each bag for better instructions on which part you're working on. Other than that, my son and I put this together today and we both loved it. It's a great set and worth every penny.

I can’t see any 6 year putting this thing together. This thing assembled in three color stages. Red , black and then white. Very hard to see where one brick starts and another ends using the instructions. The rear end where the propellers are kept falling apart. Would not stay together. The stickers would not peel off without taking the paper with it, so no stickers on the ship. If your the kinda person that likes reading instructions with a magnifying glass and getting frustrated and annoyed , then this set is for you. Otherwise stuck with Lego.
After it was assembled, my son who’s a titanic fanatic loves it

My 6 year old got this for christmas and he's super into the titanic. He could figure out most of it by himself. Pieces were compatible with our regular legos when we needed to find a missing piece (when you spend a week or so assembling >1000 pieces you tend to lose a little one here or there). Pieces snapped together pretty easily, and the finished product was awesome. It was really cool.
Only things I would say are that if you try to put on the rope and the stand and the lights, you really need a protective case for it. The stand is pretty small so it tips easy, and I'd hate to see all that work get smashed. Better to leave it just sitting on the bottom of the boat with no stand.

I bought this legos for my 9 years old grandson, and He loves it, the instructions was a little confusing but he figured out with out it.
Took him about 5 hours to build it, he said it’s very beautiful to look at with the lights.
Reading the reviews this is a good legos for kids, it is hard for adults.

My 7 year-old grandson's favorite model!
My 7 year-old, lego modeling grandson loves this model more than all of his lego builds. For me it was also a win because of the lower price point. It took him about a week of after school work to put it together.

Clean, clear, easy to follow instructions
Purchased this as a gift for my nephew who's obsessed with the Titanic right now! Packaging came clean and neat with only a small damage which is why I dropped a star. Instructions look really clear and easy to understand. The set comes with the lighting package and the Jack and Rose figures from the movie. I felt like this is a little pricey, but given LEGO has a larger dollar footprint than this product - I'm not going to complain at all. Overall satisfied customer and I cannot wait to give this to my nephew for his birthday!

Bought as present for 6 year old son who is interested in all things Titanic and who also loves Lego. The bricks are similar to Lego but our 6 year old couldn’t follow the instructions independently on this set as he usually does with Lego. He was quite happy for dad to build though - which took approx 3 hours. Very pleased with the model and our son is too!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 7 year old grand son who is in the middle of a Titanic obsession. He loves it! My only complaint is the instructions were not quite clear and the pieces (1000+) were all mixed up in a multitude of small packages. You literally had to comb thru each bag to find all the pieces for the part you were working on. That made it take even longer to assemble. However, once assembled he loves it and it has a prominent place in his bedroom. AND it looks fantastic! Note: it does come with little figures of Jack and Rose. I wish that instead it had come with a figure of the Captain.

My 7 year old is fascinated with the Titanic at the moment. He used his Amazon Christmas gift card to purchase this as he loves Legos also. We knew it wasn't an official Lego product but got it anyway.
Decent directions, but kinda hard to see where each piece goes in the pictures. Parts are divided into several bags, but are not numbered like Lego bags according to steps. Basically we had to open every bag to get through the first few steps.
I would recommend having a tube of kragle (Lego movie lingo) handy since some of the parts didn't want to stay together while building.
Overall when it was completed its a nice model for the price. Decent size and detail. My son has it prominently displayed on his Lego table among his other models.

I can't say enough about this fabulous building set. My seven-year-old son is obsessed with both Legos and the Titanic, and Lego doesn't make a Titanic. This set is incredible, especially considering the affordable price. Lego sets with 1000+ pieces typically cost over $100; this was a bargain at under forty bucks. Compatible - when my son couldn't find a piece, he simply went to his Lego bin and found a replacement. The only difference was that the bags were unnumbered, meaning he had to dump out every bag all at once and search for pieces which took a lot of time at first. But hey...as a mom...the longer it takes him to build it the happier I am. If I spend forty dollars on Lego, my son has the set built in under an hour. This one took a good six or so hours to build. We played the Titanic soundtrack in the background as he worked. The finished project looks spectacular...very detailed and high quality. I am just so thrilled with our purchase.

Not sure about the "Lego families" that had a hard time with this. My 9 year old built it in 2 weeks by himself spending just a half hour or so a day (with some skipped days). If you follow directions and have built other lego vehicles before you'll be just fine.

Bought this for my 7 year old's birthday. I was a bit concerned based on the product reviews, let me tell you...this exceeded ALL of my expectations.
All the pieces were there. Yes, the bagging lacks any noticeable logic, however we just sorted the pieces by color/type after opening and all was well.
My son keeps pretending to sink it and the only part that comes off with forceful play is one of the propellers.
Pros: looks amazing, solid build, 7 year old (with Lego experience) was able to successfully build.
Cons: cannot be dragged across carpet or ran into with pretend icebergs without causing minor propeller damage.
